Indian Maritime University is located in Chennai.
Recently its 8th convocation was held.
The President of India Draupadi Murmu participated in this convocation ceremony.
During this, he awarded 10 gold and 10 silver medals to meritorious students.
Indian Maritime University is a central university.
It was established by the Parliament in November, 2008.
It is dedicated to providing maritime education, training and research.
