  • The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu presented the National Florence Nightingale Awards 2024 to nursing professionals during an event at Rashtrapati Bhavan. 
  • A total of 15 nurses were awarded for their outstanding commitment to duty and service to the community.
  • The Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, and the Minister of State for Health Family Welfare, Smt Anupriya Patel, and other dignitaries were also present.
  • The National Florence Nightingale Awards were instituted in the year 1973 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India with the objective of honouring nurses and nursing professionals for meritorious services rendered to society.
