President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Mahasamadhi centenary celebrations of Sree Narayana Guru at Sivagiri Mutt, Varkala. She hailed the Guru’s timeless message of unity and equality, highlighting his slogan “One Caste, One Religion, One God for Mankind.” Sree Narayana Guru’s contributions to social justice, education, and spiritual reform transformed Kerala’s social fabric. The event was attended by Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and state ministers. The centenary marks 100 years since his Mahasamadhi in 1925, celebrating his enduring influence on India’s moral and spiritual awakening.
