President of India presents National Geoscience Awards to 21 geoscientists in 12 categories.
The National Geoscience Awards, instituted by the Ministry of Mines in 1966, is one of the oldest and most prestigious national awards in the field of geosciences.
The objective of these awards is to recognize scientists for outstanding achievements and significant contributions in various fields of geosciences-mineral research and exploration, mining technology and mineral benefits, and fundamental geosciences.
