  • President Droupadi Murmu conferred the National Teachers' Awards to 82 teachers in school and higher education categories at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on September 5, 2024. 
  • 16 teachers from higher educational institutions and polytechnics have also been selected for the 'Teachers Award 2024'. 
  • This is the first time that teachers from higher educational institutions have also been awarded.
  • The awarded teachers were given a cash prize of Rs 50,000, silver medal and certificates.
