  • Bhopal, August 3, 2023 (Ataullah Faizan): Sangeet Natak Akademi and Sahitya Akademi under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Government of Madhya Pradesh organized Unmesh, a national festival of folk and tribal expressions of India, from 3rd to 5th August 2023 in Bhopal. 
  • The festival, based on folk art, music and literature, was held in Bhopal for the first time.
  • Around 800 artists from 36 states and union territories of the country will participate in the festival and will spread a colorful shade of folk and tribal performing arts. The festival will be streamed on the Facebook and YouTube channels of the Sangeet Natak Akademi as well as the Facebook and YouTube channels of the Department of Culture.
