  • It is also the oldest festival of Hyderabad.
  • This festival was first started in 1972 by Pandit Jasraj in the memory of his father 'Sangeet Ratna Pandit Motiram' and uncle 'Pandit Maniram'.
  • Pandit Jasraj is an Indian classical singer, who belonged to the Mewati Gharana.
  • This legacy is carried forward by the Pandit Jasraj Cultural Foundation
