Prime Minister Narendra Modi has dedicated the entire section of Kanpur Metro Rail Project built at a cost of Rs 11,000 crore to the people of Uttar Pradesh.
The total length of this metro project is 32 km.
The construction work of this metro project has been started by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in 2019, and a trial run was also held on 10th November this year on the 9km IIT-Kanpur to Motijheel Priority Corridor.
Kanpur Metro is the country's fastest-built metro system.
PM Modi has already unveiled the first phase of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor earlier this month in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh's ancient holy city.
