  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi has dedicated the entire section of Kanpur Metro Rail Project built at a cost of Rs 11,000 crore to the people of Uttar Pradesh.
  • The total length of this metro project is 32 km.
  • The construction work of this metro project has been started by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in 2019, and a trial run was also held on 10th November this year on the 9km IIT-Kanpur to Motijheel Priority Corridor.
  • Kanpur Metro is the country's fastest-built metro system.
  • PM Modi has already unveiled the first phase of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor earlier this month in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh's ancient holy city.
