  • Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the “Call Before U Dig” app on Wednesday. 
  • It is an app under the Department of Telecommunications meant to accelerate the fibre rollout in the country.
  • It is an app that will connect the digging agencies with the underground utility asset owners. 
  • Under this, digging agencies or telecom companies can find out in advance that the pipeline or cable line of which company is laid in the area in which they are going to work and what are the details of that company etc.
  • Along with the “Call Before U Dig” app, PM Modi unveiled the Bharat 6G Vision Document. It is a vital document for the development of the 6G standard in India.
