Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan, the world’s largest tribal grassroots leadership programme. The campaign aims to empower 11 crore tribal citizens in 1 lakh villages across 30 States/UTs, focusing on responsive governance, last-mile service delivery and grassroots leadership. Key features include the setting up of Adi Sewa Kendras in every tribal village, leadership training programmes, and the celebration of Adi Sewa Parv to strengthen tribal identity and participation. PM Modi called the initiative a step towards “Vision 2030 for Tribal Villages,” ensuring that tribal communities become active partners in India’s development journey.
