Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the year-long national celebration marking 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’ at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi on November 7, 2025. He led the nationwide collective singing of the national song and released a special commemorative stamp and coin dedicated to Vande Mataram. The celebration, which will continue from November 7, 2025, to November 7, 2026, aims to honour the historical and cultural legacy of Vande Mataram, composed by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay.
