  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 'Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendra' at Netaji Metro Station (Kudghat) in Kolkata through video conferencing. The centre is located on the Dakshineswar-New Garia section (Blue Line).
  • Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendra will help people to provide medicines at cheaper rates and save money.
  • Medicines will be made available at 50 to 90 percent lower rates than branded medicines in this center.
