Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 19 km Yellow Line of the Bangalore Metro Phase-2 project, running from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bommasandra with 16 stations, at a cost of about ₹7,160 crore. With this addition, Bengaluru’s operational metro network now exceeds 96 km. The PM also laid the foundation stone for the ₹15,610 crore Phase-3 project, which will add over 44 km of elevated tracks and 31 stations, aimed at improving connectivity across residential, commercial, industrial, and educational hubs.
