Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Kaziranga Elevated Corridor Project in Kaliabor, Assam, with an investment exceeding ₹6,950 crore.
The project involves four-laning the Kaliabor–Numaligarh stretch of NH-715, covering nearly 90 km, including a 35-km elevated wildlife corridor through Kaziranga National Park.
It also includes a 21-km bypass and widening of 30 km of existing highway from two to four lanes.
The initiative aims to boost connectivity while preserving the region’s rich wildlife and ecological balance.
