Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi announced Khelo India University 2023 on 25 May 2023 through video conferencing.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Narendra Modi organized the Khelo India University Games 2023 in Uttar Pradesh.
More than 4750 athletes from more than 200 universities will participate in these games which will compete in 21 sports categories.
