The Trishakti Corps of the Indian Army celebrated World Environment Day by inaugurating a plastic waste management and recycling plant in Changgu, East Sikkim.
This initiative, part of the Army's Sadbhavana initiative, aims to address waste management issues, promote sustainability, and benefit the local economy.
The plant will convert plastic waste into materials suitable for road construction and bricks, thereby reducing pollution and the burden on landfills.
Additionally, the project provides employment opportunities for local villagers, contributing to economic resilience and community welfare.
