Indian B2B payments firm PayMate has announced its entry into Indonesia through a $400 million acquisition of DigiAsia, a leading local FinTech-as-a-Service provider. Announced in September 2024, the deal gives PayMate access to DigiAsia’s operations, which use a “B2B2X” model offering embedded finance APIs for SMEs in emerging markets. The acquisition strengthens PayMate’s footprint in Southeast Asia and sets the stage for wider expansion across the region and beyond.
