Nita Ambani was re-elected unanimously as an IOC member from India during the 142nd IOC session held on July 24, 2024, receiving 100% of the votes.
As the founder and chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, she drives initiatives in sport, education, health, and culture, impacting over 22.9 million children and youth across India.
Appointed in 2016, Nita Ambani is the first Indian woman to join the IOC, and she has been instrumental in promoting India’s Olympic ambitions, including hosting the first IOC session in Mumbai in over 40 years.
