  • Para-athlete Chandip Singh from Jammu and Kashmir has won a silver medal in Para World Taekwondo Championships.
  • He earned a medal in the Men's plus 80 kg event at the 9th Para World Taekwondo Championships, which took place in Istanbul, Turkey, from December 9 to 12, 2021.
  • He is the first para-athlete from the state of J&K to accomplish this achievement.
  • In the history of the Para-Taekwondo World Championships, this is India's first medal.
