Pakistan successfully tested the Shaheen-1A surface-to-surface ballistic missile.
The purpose of the test flight was to re-validate certain of the weapon system's design and technical specifications.
The nuclear-capable Shaheen 1-A medium-range ballistic missile was successfully tested by the armed services in March. It had a 900-kilometer range.
