Renowned actress and Padma Bhushan recipient B. Saroja Devi passed away at the age of 87 on July 14. Known as “Abhinaya Saraswathi,” she appeared in over 200 films across Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema. She was honored with Padma Shri in 1969 and Padma Bhushan in 1992. She also received Tamil Nadu’s Kalaimamani Award and an honorary doctorate from Bangalore University for her contribution to Indian cinema.
