  • Malayalam novelist P Valsala has won Kerala's highest literary award ‘Ezhuthachan Puraskaram’ for the year 2021. His first novel was Nellu on which the film was also made.
  • The Ezhuthachan Puraskaram is the highest literary award given by the Kerala Sahitya Akademi. The award consists of Rs 5 lakh and a citation.
