  • PL Haranadh took over as chairman of the Paradip Port Trust (PPT) and emphasised the importance of making it the country's number one major port.
  • Haranadh worked in the Indian Railways for 22 years in various capacities during his 27-year career. He also worked for the Ministry of Shipping for five years.
  • In recognition of his many meritorious contributions, he received the Ministry of Railways' National Award for Outstanding Management in 2002 and 2005.
