  • T-Setu, the state's longest bridge over the Mahanadi, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in the Cuttack district of Odisha.
  • The 3.4 km long bridge, which connects Gopinathpur in Badamba, Baideswar in Banki, and Singhanath Pitha in the middle of the river, has been built at a cost of Rs 111 crore in the shape of the English alphabet 'T.'
  • The bridge, which has a 1.5-metre-wide footpath on both sides, will benefit residents of Cuttack and Khurda, as well as shorten the 45-kilometer distance between Badamba and Baideswar in Banki.
  • The foundation stone for the bridge was set on February 28, 2014, by Chief Minister Navin Patnaik.
