  • Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi launched the ‘Samikshya’ portal to enable real-time tracking of projects funded under State and Central Finance Commission grants. The portal allows citizens, officials, and elected representatives to monitor the physical and financial progress of local infrastructure works, including roads, drinking water, sanitation, and street lighting.
  • By enhancing transparency and citizen participation, it aims to reduce delays, curb cost overruns, and improve service delivery. The initiative aligns with the Sixth State Finance Commission’s recommendations on equitable and formula-based fund devolution to local bodies.
