  • Renowned English author Ruskin Bond was honored with the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Fellowship at his home in Mussoorie. Bond was nominated for the Akademi's highest honor in September 2021, but due to ill health, he could not receive the award in person. The President of the Sahitya Akademi, Madhav Kaushik, and Secretary K. Sreenivasarao, presented the plaque to Bond at his home.
  • Ruskin Bond was born on May 19, 1934, in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, and has been active in the field of writing for over 50 years. 
  • He has made significant contributions across various genres of literature, including short stories, children's books, novels, autobiographical works, and non-fiction.
