  • Its main goal is to increase the leadership of women in Gram Panchayats, local self-governing bodies.
  • Empowered women leaders can play an important role in conserving forests and natural resources as well as promoting sustainable living and food security.
  • Collaboration with forest panchayats and the broader community, especially women, is a key strategy in this effort.
