The Nobel Peace Prize for the year 2023 was announced by the Royal Swedish Academy.
The Nobel Peace Prize for the year 2023 has been given to Iranian social activist Nargis Mohammadi.
Mohammadi has been given this award for her fight against the oppression of women in Iran and her struggle for human rights and freedom for all.
According to the academy, this year's Nobel Peace Prize also honors the hundreds of thousands of people who have fought against the regime's religious policies that were discriminatory and oppressive, targeting women.
Mohammadi advocates against the death penalty in Iran, where most executions are carried out.
She supported the Iranian Hijab movement.
