NITI Aayog released two reports — “India’s Services Sector: Insights from GVA Trends and State-level Dynamics” and “India’s Services Sector: Insights from Employment Trends and State-level Dynamics.” Launched by CEO B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, the reports provide the first detailed evaluation of India’s service sector in terms of growth and jobs. Highlighting its 55% contribution to national GVA in 2024–25, the studies call for stronger digital infrastructure, innovation, and skills. A four-part roadmap emphasizes formalization, women’s participation, digital inclusion, and green skills to drive inclusive, sustainable growth and realize India’s Vision 2047.
