Fortune India just published a list of the country's top 50 most powerful women in 2021.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tops the list of India's 50 most powerful women, followed by Nita Ambani, founder, and chairman of Reliance Foundation.
Soumya Swaminathan, the Chief Scientist of the World Health Organization (WHO), is listed on the third number.
Nita Ambani's daughter is also listed among India's most prominent women. She is assigned to the number 21 position.
Since 1998, Fortune magazine has been releasing an annual list of the most powerful women in the world.
