NLC India Renewables Ltd (NIRL) has partnered with Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Ltd (MAHAPREIT) to form a Joint Venture Company (JVC). The new company will work on developing renewable energy projects up to 2000 MW initially, starting with a 500 MW capacity in Phase I, with plans to scale to 5000 MW in Maharashtra.
