NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL) and the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP) have partnered to deploy a UPI-like real-time payments system in Peru, marking the first adoption of this technology in South America.
The partnership aims to establish a reliable and efficient real-time payments platform in Peru, enabling instant payments between individuals and businesses, and reducing reliance on cash transactions.
