NHAI and IIIT Delhi have partnered to enhance road safety using Artificial Intelligence (AI) for improving road sign availability and condition on National Highways.
IIIT Delhi will conduct surveys to collect imagery and data on road signages along selected National Highway stretches, aiming to create a detailed inventory.
AI will be deployed to process this data, accurately identifying, classifying, and geo-stamping road signs to improve their maintenance and ensure better road safety measures.
