Scientists and experts in France have reportedly discovered a new variant of COVID-19 known as 'IHU.' The new variant is said to be a more mutated strain than Omicron.
About 12 cases of this new form have been reported near Marseilles in France and it is being linked to the African country of Cameroon.
The B.1.640.2 or IHU variant has been first identified by academics at the Institute IHU Mediterranee Infection and contains 46 mutations, more than Omicron.
