  • Scientists have identified a new flying reptile species named 'Bakiribu waridza' after analysing a 100-million-year-old fossilised regurgitate from Brazil's Araripe Basin. It is the first extinct animal described entirely from a 'regurgitalite'.
  • The remains of two individuals along with four fish were found inside the vomit, believed to be expelled by a large spinosaurid dinosaur. The pterosaur possessed comb-like, needle-toothed jaws for filter-feeding. The findings were published in the journal 'Scientific Reports'.
