New Governors appointed for Haryana and Goa; Ladakh gets new L-G:

In a major reshuffle, the President of India appointed new gubernatorial heads on Monday. Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy CM of Jammu & Kashmir, replaces B.D. Mishra as the new Lieutenant-Governor of Ladakh. Former Union Civil Aviation Minister Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju has been named the Governor of Goa. Senior BJP leader from West Bengal, Ashim Kumar Ghosh, will take charge as the Governor of Haryana. The appointments take effect upon assumption of office.
