The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) will release a revised GDP series with 2022–23 as the base year on February 27, 2026, replacing the 2011–12 series. According to Secretary Saurabh Garg, updated data sets for the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) and Consumer Price Index (CPI) will follow. MoSPI will also launch two fresh household surveys focused on travel and tourism spending, along with an annual survey on service sector enterprises to collect detailed data on India’s incorporated services sector.
