New Chief & Information Commissioners Take Oath at CIC

Shri Raj Kumar Goyal assumed charge as Chief Information Commissioner on 15 December 2025. In his presence, eight newly appointed Information Commissioners were administered the oath at the Central Information Commission. The appointees include senior officers and professionals from IAS, IPS, IFS, IRMS, CSS, Indian Legal Service, and journalism, bringing wide experience in governance, law, security, media, forestry, railways and public administration, strengthening the CIC’s institutional capacity.
