Bishowambhar Prasad Shrestha has been appointed as the next Chief Justice of Nepal by President Ram Chandra Paudel.
Shrestha will lead the judicial body for 14 months.
The Parliamentary Hearing Committee unanimously endorsed Shrestha's appointment.
Shrestha will assume office as the Chief Justice after the oath of office by President expected within this week.
