India’s Neeraj Chopra won the men’s javelin throw event at the Lausanne Diamond League 2023 in Switzerland.
Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra, who won the javelin throw event at the season-opening Doha leg with an 88.67m attempt in May, picked up his second successive victory with an 87.66m effort, which came in his fifth attempt.
Chopra won his first Diamond League Trophy when he won the Lausanne leg in August 2022.
This is Neeraj's second gold medal this year i.e. 2023.
He has also won a gold medal in the Doha Diamond League in May.
This is Neeraj's 8th international gold medal. Earlier, Neeraj has also won gold medals in Asian Games, South Asian Games, Olympics and Diamond League.
