The "Digital Shakti Kendra" was inaugurated in collaboration with the National Commission for Women (NCW) and CyberPeace Foundation, with Chairperson Rekha Sharma leading the launch.
The Digital Power Centre aims to raise awareness about cybercrimes such as identity theft, cyberstalking, and sexual exploitation and provide technical support for registration and resolution of complaints.
There has been an increase in cybercrime cases in the India, from 52,974 in 2021 to 65,893 in 2022, underscoring the need for efforts like Digital Shakti Kendra to tackle cybercrimes against women.
