  • The University of Texas at Dallas has conferred Indian industrialist Naveen Jindal with a lifetime achievement award for his accomplishments in industry, politics and education.
  • An alumnus of the University of Texas at Dallas’ 1992 batch, Jindal received the award in a ceremony.
  • Jindal is the second person to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the University of Texas at Dallas after noted Nobel Laureate Aziz Sancar.
  • As a student at the university, Jindal served as both Student Government vice president and president and earned the Student Leader of the Year Award. He was recognized with the University's Distinguished Alumni award in 2010.
  • This is the highest award that the University of Texas, Dallas bestows on alumni to recognise a graduate whose contributions have bettered society.
  • The University of Texas Dallas (UT Dallas) is a public research university located in Richardson, Texas, United States and was established in 1969.
  • It is part of the University of Texas System and offers more than 140 academic programs across its eight schools, including programs in engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, management, and the arts and humanities.
