The National Investment and Infrastructure Fund has floated the fund in October, 2023 with the Government of India and Japan Bank for International Cooperation as anchor investors.
This fund is worth 600 million dollars.
This fund will be known as India-Japan Fund.
This joint fund will pave the way for cooperation between the two countries in an area of common priority i.e. climate and environment.
The Government of India and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation will have 49% and 51% stake respectively in this fund.
National Investment and Infrastructure Fund was established by the Government of India in the year 2015.
