  • The National Investment and Infrastructure Fund has floated the fund in October, 2023 with the Government of India and Japan Bank for International Cooperation as anchor investors.
  • This fund is worth 600 million dollars.
  • This fund will be known as India-Japan Fund.
  • This joint fund will pave the way for cooperation between the two countries in an area of common priority i.e. climate and environment.
  • The Government of India and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation will have 49% and 51% stake respectively in this fund.
  • National Investment and Infrastructure Fund was established by the Government of India in the year 2015.
