  • A three-day national conference on “Ancient Indian Text, Science and Technology” commenced at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, bringing together scholars from across the country to explore links between classical Indian knowledge systems and modern science. The event is sponsored by the Indian Council of Philosophical Research and the Anusandhan National Research Foundation, and jointly organised by the Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems and the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • During the inaugural session, Director Sukumar Mishra highlighted the progression from gyan (knowledge) to vigyan (analytical understanding) and prodyogiki (technology), emphasising the holistic integration of philosophy and science in ancient traditions.
  • Chief guest CD Sebastian from IIT Bombay delivered a keynote on Sānkhya philosophy and modern science, underscoring interdisciplinary dialogue between Sanskrit scholars, philosophers, scientists, and engineers.
