Shri Sanjay Murthy, Secretary, Department of Higher Education and Shri T. G. Sitharam, Chairman, AICTE launched the portal for National Awards for Teachers (Higher Education) – 2024.
The award will be conferred to exemplary teachers of technical and non-technical higher education institutions and polytechnic institutes.
There will be three sub-categories for the award: Engineering and Technology, Pure Sciences (Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Medicine and Pharmacy), and Arts and Social Sciences (Humanities, Languages, Legal Studies, Commerce and Management).
The last date for submission of nominations is June 20, 2024.
The selected winners will be felicitated on September 5 (Teachers' Day), which will be held to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
