  • Shri Sanjay Murthy, Secretary, Department of Higher Education and Shri T. G. Sitharam, Chairman, AICTE launched the portal for National Awards for Teachers (Higher Education) – 2024.
  • The award will be conferred to exemplary teachers of technical and non-technical higher education institutions and polytechnic institutes.
  • There will be three sub-categories for the award: Engineering and Technology, Pure Sciences (Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Medicine and Pharmacy), and Arts and Social Sciences (Humanities, Languages, Legal Studies, Commerce and Management).
  • The last date for submission of nominations is June 20, 2024.
  • The selected winners will be felicitated on September 5 (Teachers' Day), which will be held to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
