  • NASA's Europa Clipper mission, scheduled for October this year, aims to explore Jupiter's moon Europa for signs of life.
  • The spacecraft will carry a triangular metal plate engraved with a poem by US Poet Laureate Ada Limón titled "In Praise of Mystery: A Poem for Europa."
  • Additionally, a silicon microchip onboard will contain over 2.6 million names submitted by the public.
  • The metal plate will also feature etchings of 103 waveforms, representing the sound wave of the word "water" in 103 different languages, including Hindi.
  • Last year, NASA conducted a "Message in a Bottle" campaign, allowing the public to submit their names to be included on the spacecraft.
