NASA has permanently shut down its largest library located at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland. Established in 1959, the library housed over 1,00,000 volumes and served as a major research centre for the space agency.
Its closure follows the shutdown of seven other NASA libraries across the United States since 2022, including three closures in 2025.
