Indian-origin Narandran 'Jody' Kollapen has been appointed to South Africa's highest judicial bench.
He will take oath on January 1, 2022.
He has been appointed by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
He was employed as an advocate in Human Rights in 1993 and has also served as National Director in 1995.
He also served as the commissioner of the South African Human Rights Commission in 1997.
He was appointed as chair of the South African Law Reform Commission in April 2016.
