M.V. Rao, the Managing Director and CEO of Central Bank of India, has been elected as the new chairman of the Indian Bank Association (IBA) for the term 2023-24.
He succeeds Atul Kumar Goel, who served as the chairman of IBA for the previous two terms and is the Managing Director and CEO of Punjab National Bank.
The IBA Managing Committee selected State Bank of India (SBI) Chairman Dinesh Kumar Khara, Indian Bank Managing and CEO S L Jain and City Union Bank Managing and CEO N Kamakody as Vice Chairpersons.
As the chairman of IBA, M.V. Rao will play a key role in representing the interests of Indian banks and fostering collaboration within the banking sector.
