Munish Kapoor has recently been appointed the Executive Director of the Reserve Bank of India.
Kapoor will now head the Department of Economic and Policy Research.
Munish Kapoor is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers.
Earlier, Munish Kapoor was advisor-in-charge within the Monetary Policy Department.
In his new capacity as Executive Director, Munish Kapoor will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Department of Economic and Policy Research.
This department plays an important role in formulating economic policies and conducting research critical to the decision making processes of the RBI.
Munish Kapoor was an advisor to the International Monetary Fund from 2012 to 2015.
